Dude 512kb on 4 people. Wow thats slow.
Dude i got 6mbit and we are 2 persons. And whenever my friend is downloading from azureus then i get problem with my connection. So you gotta get faster connection man. 512kb wont work for you guys sorry.

The reason your probably slowing down is someone maybe using peer 2 peer software and is using your full upload bandwith, thus destroying alot of your available download bandwith.
