patch? trainers?? cheats???

I've been a loyal user to this site ever since I figured out the nitch to make my copies by reading replys to posts & such and having peeps answer my idiotic questions. :-D I've been to lots of similar sites reading just about everything that pertains to patching, adding trainers, etc. Everyone seems to have thier own idea on to how to patch games. I've yet to burn a coaster with CDRwin(3.8b) using my Sony CRX 140E to read & write. Only thing I don't have the hang of yet is patching (adding cheats or getting around something I own that is protected). Is there a tutitorial for my needs, step by step to applying a patch and where would I find such cheats that can be burned to the cd, since using the gameshark is a painstaking process. Any help would be greatly appreciated }> By the way, CloneCD(2.7.8.1) also works with my writer, just not as well as CDRwin does and I just downloaded PPF-O-MATIC which I know I will need. ??? ;D ??? thanks again for any help. One last thing..... whats the PAL/NTSC?? Is there a difference between the two???
