Sims 2 Open for business No CD..

Well, mine only works if i used CureRom profile from gamecopyworld and Daemon Tools with Full IMAGE downloaded from torrent ..

EDIT: alrite, now its getting weird, now without CureROM, I just mounted the FULL Image and just ran the EXE and it works .. ? Simply working .. wtf ??

I bought this game, and it ran beautifully the first couple of times. Then i decided to try out the no-cd methods, and those don't work. I tried SD4 hider, Curerom, and nothing helps... See, my problem is different from most other peoples... When my game runs, after the intro movies, it just freezes and doesn't load any farther... Has anyone else experienced this problem??? Maybe theres a problem with my image, but i also tried both the mini images on the website... Someone help...

I got to say I hate having the CD/DVD in the tray when i play games X(
I think every game company should invest in an online division like Valve with Steam and the Direct to Drive from Fileplanet.

Well If everyone Cracked everyone’s games then there would be no games to crack. I do like to "Stick it to the man" every now and again, But I do Buy the games from the companies I support. Alls I’m sayin is I like not having to go to the store get harassed to trade stuff in or to buy their magazines or being forced to pre-order some Barbie pony racing game. I hate dealing with people, waiting in line, wasting gas, being asked the above questions.

HL2 I liked and bought, Morrowind I liked and bought, Oblivion I’m going to Buy.

EA I hate (Me and my Friend was fired with out reason from there) so I "Acquire" their games.

Hi! Friends, many poeple have posted a methode to make a proper *.mds *.mdf file with alkohol 120 %, follow the steps and make the image as first.
Now, if you can find a working hide tool by all councils and possibilities, than use the old 0.83 StarF*ck tool make a launcher using StarFor*e 3.60 default profile, Deamon tool's 4.03 (don't forgoth the demon install path changing in starf*ck tool's option old default path is their from demon 3.47 new have changed).
It work each time for me and is real easy to use, just clic on starf*ck. launcher, and all hidding & launching will run in automatic, play, have fun, happy burthday to all's, sorry bad english, i am french .

I have the same problem as crl2k6 and raid3n..

The error box doesn't say anything just a red circle with an "X"

Can't this be a language problem? I mean the (cracked) executable is hardcoded for language X but the resource files contain messages for language Y only => no message is displayed...

Hmmm. If it was set in a different language, wouldn't i see the error message in that language? It's a good idea though, i definately check the languages.

I checked the logs in my documents/EA games/Sims 2/logs and found exception code: 0xC0000005 (-1073741819) ACCESS_VIOLATION.

I have version 1.6.0.259 which i believe is the latest, i have the crack in the install dir and my image mounted in DT4.06.

hey hey! I just realized mine works just like yours! I just mount the full image without using any hider or watsoever programs and it works! weird!
