Most probably, not only nForce 3/4 chipset-equipped motherboards are the ones that Starforce can't hack (re-enabling disabled CD-DVD drives). We've already seen hints to that in another threads...!

It could be that ULi chipset that XdaywalkerX has on his motherboard...?
Because it isn't that widespread and uses some own solutions SF might not be able to "get to" it.

DT 4.03 works with SF 3.7 with no problems.

For most systems configuration, it is needed to unplug devices, but with correct DVD drive/recorder configuration no need for disabling IDEs/drives.

A system just prepared to combat/emulate SF wont be stopped in a closer future. Emulation is the middle step to crack a disc based game.

Good luck!

Not only had StarForce already destroyed my HDD and made my writer incompatible to CloneCD (not that tragic) but also am i not able to run any SF protected game without unplugging drives. Not even Trackmania 1 (!), not Sunrise, intended to start when using DT 4.03...
It's a shame, all those people telling, "Its great", "It works ! Wohooo !", and I cant play without the original CD. The last few month made me come to a decision. Pretty hard for me (ToCA 3 ... ), but I'll definetaly not buy any game protected by SF3. None of them

About the same way I think. Starforce totally screwed my windows installation on my nForce2 based PC and since then I pretty much stay away from Starforce.

using nf4 here, tried many diff ide controller drivers, no help
used to be able to just disable cd drive in windows and trackmania sunrise/king kong, would run alright, but then i updated trackmania and now it doesent work, just like RD3, just luck i think, easiest thing to do is make your cd drive easily removeable, works for me

Simulation?

Hi
I used a simulation program in C++, I changed the IDE controller configuration (among with others like my SATA numbering and DMA id that have nothing to do (i think) with this). StarForce kept asking for a CD but RaceDriver 3 loaded at once. I think that StarForce logs up the initial configuration and it doesnt matter much about the chipset or disconnecting any drives, I would sugest to install StarForce after a hardware "Lifting" then re-enabling and normalizing your configuration.
It took 33 days for my simulator to load so you can understand that it is impractical to wait for a month to play a game.
