I'll install the patch tomorrow, and use pr0t.st0p and see whats up. If anyone can come up with some other alternate workarounds (keep in mind my ide device controller is already disabled, don't bother mentioning that) in case it doesn't work, that'd be great. Then I can post the results and what works/doesn't.
--Edit-- I was bored, so I did it right away (since xfire had already downloaded the patch anyway) and... it cranks out the "emulation software detected" message. Using pr0t.st0p 1.0 with Daemonscript 1.6.0 and DT4. Nforce3 MOBO's PATA controller is disabled in device manager. This setup worked pre-1.03 to get rid of "disk not found or authenticated" and "Please insert disk in another drive" messages. Any ideas guys? Last edited by m4gicfour; 18-02-2006 at 23:35.

I hate cureROM... Oh well, I'll bite the bullet and try it out.
EDIT: Doesn't work. - Then again, I'm using a mini-image, curerom doesn't claim to work with them. I'll find a maxi. EDIT: Nope, that didn't work either. Keep getting the "emulation software detected" message. Last edited by m4gicfour; 19-02-2006 at 00:58.

No Dvd FEAR
First I have a legal copy, I use the NoDVD 1.02 Crack on 1.03 update, containing the files below,and this works.
FEARE_2.arch00 FEAR.exe EngineServer.dll Works fine for me, don't ask me to send these files,and can't remember where i've got these Nodvd Crack 1.02 from,i slighty remember it was an Russian site , F.e.a.r displays Version 1.03 after installing these files. But honestly i cant notice any difference in game play on Single player aswell in Multi player, even when i play the original without the noDVD Patch. I re installed the entire game. Maybe U can search for this NoDVD Patch, but's what the hurry insert your retail DVD and play. Additional: O after looking in GCW i found the 1.02 NoDVD patch F.E.A.R. v1.02 [ENGLISH] No-CD/No-DVD/Private Server Fixed EXE It wasn't so far away LOL Last edited by Ogimos; 19-02-2006 at 06:59.
