Did the patch get applied to the correct directory where the game is installed? Does it find the game directory or do you have to browse to it?
It should overwrite the protected EXE with an unprotected one, if it's saying 'Wrong disc inserted' then it's obviously still running the protected EU2.EXE and not the unprotected one! Just make sure that when the game is patched the EU2.EXE is 2.25 MB (2,363,392 bytes) as that's the size of unprotected EXE.

If what you say is true then there should be no problem to make a NOCD for this one....any Securom game under version v7 can be cracked pretty easy (unless they use really nasty stuff)
