SFNightmare not Applied

hi everybody, well, I got Prince T2T, and I used to disconect the IDE drivers, so I read about the SFNightmare.
I have 2 drivers, 1 CD and one DVD recorder... the SFNightmare only disable the CD and not the DVD together, what is the problem?
and personally... I am sick and tired of disable the f.... drivers to play this game... What should I do?

Why not just use the original disc? Why do you have to keep unplugging things when you have an original disc to play from!

Read the FAQ; get an nForce chipset-based motherboard; use your original CD/DVD; boycott Starforce-protected games by not buying them etc. etc...

It's not for the first time that we have to read a piece of advice like this one. But this is a GameCOPYWorld-Forum, so you might accept members requests for help having problems with their copies. "Use your original" is a solution, of course, but it makes this forum completely superfluous.

Pesonally I agree with BarryB!
When people write things like this:
Quote:

If they are really sick and tired of disabling then the easiest solution for them is to use the original discs to play! Its certainly the simpliest method!

@temp: Seeing as there are no cracks for this game and the person is complaining about ridiculous methods to get the game working then the easiest solution is to just use the original CD/DVD until either a crack comes out or an easier method to play without the CD/DVD is found. Let's hear what Hitman has to say first as to WHY he needs to disable drives to play the game, usually it's becasue it's a WAREZ copy and therefore the only way to get it running is unplug this, disable that, run this, etc, but let's see what his problem is first!

@kre: And your problem is? If someone is having problems with his/her original not running on their CD/DVD drive it's a problem for the publisher or copy protection company, not here. As has been said before, the only time we see people going to extreme lengths to get a game working is mostly because it's WAREZ!

And if both of you still don't like my opinions or comments (nobody forces you to read them do they?), put me on your IGNORE list then you won't have to keep making pointless replies to my posts will you!

I'm with you 100% Barry.

People asking keep asking for an easier way than unplugging their CD/DVD drives.

The ONLY easier way is to USE YOUR ORIGINAL DISC!!

(Short of buying a new motherboard of course...)

1. I didn't mention problems with peoples original not running but with their copies. And I mean legally copies of course.
2. If I understand Hitman's problem correctly, it is SFN not unplugging both of his drives. Isn't this a technical problem, someone may be able to give a helping hint?
BarryB, no desire to put you on IGNORE, too many good ideas and comments in all. Okay?

It is this really the problem that i want to know, because i am tired of disable the IDE drives MANUALLY, and i read that the SFN did this at no problems, but my DVD recorder didn't disable with this SFN, there is a bug on it? that only the CD-ROM drives are disabled? or its my computer that is a real pain in the a..
thanks everyone that comented, but only BarryB understood my problem...

@kre: I don't have you or anyone on my ignore list either, I want to keep it that way too. Sorry if my comments upset you!

And for the record, I didn't actually TELL Hitman to use his original disc, I just asked two QUESTIONS of which I was waiting for an ANSWER, so I never told anyone to do anything

Now, back to Hitmans problem. It appears his DVD drive won't read his original disc then. Ideally, the best solution would be to contact Ubisoft and see if they can help, after all it's them that caused the problem in using Starforce!

Another idea would be to try and put both the CD/DVD on the same IDE channel like the Secondary channel (if not already) in a Master/Slave config and see if SFN will disable both drives then.

Buy a PCI Raid controller that supports ATAPI devices and plug both CD/DVD drives into it, that way Windows will see them as SCSI devices and so I believe there will be no need to unplug them or use SFN.

Updating to the latest nForce drivers (if using an nForce chipset) might help.

The only other way would be to somehow wire a switch onto both power cables to the CD/DVD drive so you can toggle the drives power on/off as desired so you don't need to unplug cables. You must not use the switch while the power to the PC is on though, always while it's powered down, the only problem here is knowing which wires to cut and connect into the switch and where to mount the switch for easy access?

Hope some of that helps

Since when do we assume all use warez ?, he didnt mention he did.
Do you use warez ?, cause I know the answer to my own question.

I dont agree with the initual reply and dont care who does, he is probably sick of trying to play a legit game without media needed.

This site exists for the use of no cd/dvd's, does it matter the peeps are sick to the back teeth of SF before they come here, if they were all happy about SF in 1st instance they wouldnt need the no cd/dvd's they would use the media in the rom drive.

IMO everyone here is in the same boat, ie wants to play their legit bought games without need for the media in rom drive, I wont accuse anyone of using a warez copy until they that dumb they admit it, then help ends there and then.

ZZZzzzz
