problem with mkisofs

i have a prob creating an iso file.using a tutorial it says
to create an iso copy all data to a sub dir then move ip.bin to the root then type mkisofs -c 0,11700 -v gamename -l -o data.iso subfolder.i then get the error message "no such file or directory. invalid node - podracer (gamename) . i've managed to rip and extract data,hack bin files but get to this point and get stuck.any ideas what i might be doing wrong? please.
