There is a retail version that gets you Sacred Plus (v. 1.8) in N. America. It doesn't say it on the box, but the CD drive image says Sacred Plus and it is version 1.8 (out of the box).
What I'm trying to do is get "Gore" enabled ala the European versions of the game. There was supposed to be some trick where you used a "Gore" patched (found on this site) that converted the N. American version to the UK version, then you used the International English patch and all was well. I can't get it to work with my copy of the game. Has anyone succeeded (and how)? Thanks
