Yes the bootdisk (along with the gameshark disk for that matter) enables you to play original imports. However you do not need a bootdisk to play backed up imports since they were already modified to boot up on their own (unless they werent made to be self-bootable).

Well, since I have absolutely no idea what PC format is, I suggest you burn it on RAW/DAO to prevent possible errors. I really cant say much here since you didnt even specify what burning proggie you are using.
