@ShizoFraen
Right click the particular file you want to compress,
Choose 'Properties' from the menu.
Then click the 'Advanced' button
Then tick 'Compress contents to save disc space'
Click 'OK'
Then 'Apply'

Grumpy, maybe I'm missing something, but nothing happens when I do that... "Size on disk" only goes down by about 15 megs... still got a huge mdf file here :/

Compressiion rate always depends on the stuff you want to compress, images often cant be compressed by 50%, so the megs you might save can be only around 15...
btw, Windows just compresses if the file is used very rare, if its frequently used, Windose wont compress it as it would take too much time to decompress everytime you use it again

Question

Ok, so here's my question again: How do you make a Maxi MINI image, like the ones on GCW, that are a few hundred kb at most, yet can be used in place of an original image to play a game without the original CD? Please try to be as detailed as possible

This is what i do to make a maxi-image :

I open a mdf file with Winhex,and i click on edit/fill the file,make sure there is 00 in the box and click on OK button.Wait during operation and save the file.

BUT when i do that,when i mount the image,Windows say me that the disc is unreadable !

I've missed something ?
