You have to watch what you say though dude, cause to me it seemed like you thought the guy already had a mdf/mds file. He was looking for a way to play without CD, if he had an mdf/mds file already he would be using it to play the game that way and ultimately he wouldnt have asked his original question.

Dont know if you realize but there is a NoDVD exe available for UFO (v1.2) now.
