Working with dreamcast after 2000
I read the instruction to make a DC Copy for my dreamcast made in December 2000, but i supouse that i am a really newbie because i couldnt make none
I have a Ricoh cd-r/rw mp7040A, the latest version of DJ and all Kits to make the changes. The Game that i whant to change is sonic2, i have the copy and its name is d:\ sonic2_ech I copied the instructions from the forum, and my notes, i hope you can understand it. Rip the CD with DiscJuggler to a CDI file........................In the advance section of DJ Misc:UnChecked DAE: Read Speed : Max, Native Audio Resync:-, CD IMAGE: MAX SIZE 80 Min, Verify cd image: Uncheked.......................................... .................Is this ok? Go in to a DOS/Command Prompt and using CDIRip, rip the CDI file so that a .CUE and .BIN file are created. ..........................In the command Prompt c:\Dir>cdirip image /bin The result is TData02.bin,TAudio01, TDISC.cue, TDisc2.cue .................................................. .....Is this ok? or c:\Dir>cdirip image The result is: TAudio01,TData02.iso, TDisc.cue......................................... is this ok? You can delete the .CUE file. Download a free copy of ISOBuster from the net and extract the files to a directory from the .BIN file. I open isobuster, press file, open image file, and after this y recive a message: Out of Sepc Error iso 9660 Error 3 Do you want to risk and proceed? Like 5 times, after i recive an other message Acces Violation at address................ And Now how to extract the iso? in the left superior corner i can see cd--Sesion 1----Track 1-------(in red) sonci2_ECH Using IPBIN4WIN, create an IP file which corresponds to the game. It normally needs to be pointing at the 1st_read.bin file, or perhaps a different file if it is a WinCE game. A WinCE game can be detecting by checking if it has a 'WinCE' directory on the CD. If so, make sure you take this in to account when creating the IP file. ...................What the hell is this? i have th ipbin4win i know that my game has 1st_read.bin file and the ipbin4win has examples, but what do i need to do? how can i create a IP file Now you'll need a tool called 'mkisofs'. It is included in the selfboot toolkit. Create an ISO from the files you have extracted, and the IP.BIN in the root directory. Make sure you use an offset of 0,0 *NOT* 0,11700. Wich are the commands? I did this c:\DIR>mkisofs -C 0,0 -V sonic2 -l -o Image.iso c:\Dir\sonic2 Is this Ok? Then you'll need to use Xeal's amazing 'Bin2Boot' tool on the ISO, which creates a selfboot CDI which puts the game data BEFORE the audio boot data. What i need to do with bin2boot........I did this? c:\Dir> bin2boot "file"...........is this ok? I hope you can help me? |
