VGA compatible boot disc problems...?

Ok, the link to the vga patch is broken on the download page; so ive been asking around in newsgroups for a working vga adaptor bootdisc..
the only one ive been given is one thats named Boot_Cdv1_2.cdi, and it is around 3.96mb.
i burned it and get a black screen on my monitor. I swap the disc at the black monitor, and the DC starts reading it, but nothing still shows up.
does anyone have a working link for the vga patch or perhaps another bootdisc that will work?
