So, this is how you have it set up?
[USB modem]--->[Computer]<--crosscable-->[Xbox] If you xbox is directly connected to your PC, then you need to use a crosscable. When you are connected to the internet, go into control panel and into your network connections. Look for the one that says "Local Area NIC connection". It should say "not connected" as the status. Right click it and go to properties. In the scroll box, click the one at the bottem which reads "Internet Protocol (tcp/ip)". Then hit the properties button. Click the alternate configuration tab. Then click the "user configuration" radial button. For IP, put something like 192.168.1.122. Put 255.255.255.0 for subnet mask. Then 192.168.1.1 for the default gateway. In your xbox, dashboard, change it to a static ip of something like 192.168.1.200. Then change the default gateway. reset and try to connect.
