Certainly! If poor pirates, who have no money for original CD's/DVD's, keep collecting the money then a year later they will be able to upgrade their PC's so that they can play with games that were brand new a year ago...
In the meantime, they can play with one year old games...
(And, yes, many oldies are goldies!)
