So had I..........but I found it better to make an .mdf (Alcohol) image of your 'original' disk to the Hard Drive........then......... Install 'Daemon Tools' (after install of game).... Go to your X:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2006 (Dir) Right click on fm.exe and choose 'Properties'........'Compatibility' tab.......... Tick to run in 'compatibility mode' and select 'Windows NT 4.0 (Service Pack 5) Run 'Daemon Tools'.........and right click on it in taskbar.........select 'Emulation' then 'All Options ON'.....select 'Options' and untick 'Autostart' (you dont want it loading at every boot really?!?)..........select 'Virtual CD/DVD Drive' and then 'Device X:'..........'Mount Image' and browse to your .mdf image that you made from your 'original' disk........ Run FM from the Desktop (if shortcut has been made) or from the above directory! Runs great!! .............no disk required anymore
