Found a way
Ok, this is what i did.
Have the original game installed, everything (.exe and .dll). Exit any CD/DVD emulators. Install the upgrade (e.g. v1.03). Enable the CD/DVD emulator. Load the Mini-image in the emulator. Run the game!
