There are two ways to backup a DVD one is to buy a dvd writer and make a copy onto a DVD-R.
The other is to using a tutorial do a DVD Rip. The rip basically down samples the game to fit onto a CD-R and takes out any reference to the DVD from the game. For tutorials look at ####://www.ps2ownz.com ####://www.sgt-dan.com ####://www.megagames.com Sim PM
