Ultimate Spiderman Framerate issue....

Just wondering, is anyone playing Ultimate Spiderman for the PC experiencing frame rate issues…for instance during the Rhino boss battle it was almost unplayable…my PC WELL exceeds the requirements for this game, and I’m not sure why this is happening. I have all the newest drivers, and I know that others have been having this same problem as I have. I don’t think there is an update out for this, but does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance…

Install the catalyst drivers again for the radeon, then when in the game make sure your settings arent too high.

Failing that, try going to

START>run>dxdiag (press enter)

Goto Audio and shift the bar from full acceleration to Basic.

And try again

No, when using onboard soundcards (Nforce/SIS) or some certain hardware cards (Creative)

Its best to have the acceleration down a bit, this makes the processor not use much of its resources towards the soundcard and more to the game.

I had problems with my framrate. I solved the issue by turning down the draw distance to just under halfway. You notice no difference at all with the distance you can see.

i turned my sound card down to basic in dxdiag...fixed my frame rate issue...but as i said before the sound is now awful....sounds like those cheesy midi files you get on freewebs websites with teh occasional blast of bass, turned it up to half...a little better..so now i have turned it back up to full. it seems either i have to choose between bad glitches or really bad sound.

i am using a nforce 4 chipset with onboard realtek 7.1....also have a pci sounblaster which is not as good as the onboard.

You would get better performance using that hardware card than the onboard.

Remember the onboard...

1. Is software not hardware

2. Is using up valuable RAM to operate

3. Will lag games, as you can see.

4. Doesnt work great with another hardware sound card at same time (i.e. disable one/remove card)

works fine for me on everything exept that game.

my nforce onboard 7.1 card is awsome..my soundblaster live card wont even let me run san andreas when set as primary.(that was the issue from my 'strange san andreas problem' thread.

i have not got any other games that lag atall exept for this one,not halflife 2 not farcry, not my f.e.a.r demo.

i am looking in to buying one of these new super duper Ł300 soundblaster cards i keep seeing anyway.

Audigy 4 would be your best bet. Ebuyer will give you a good deal on one.

But you cant run onboard/hardware cards. Its using up ram/processor time/IRQ allocation (that could be used for something else)

If your problem is NOT crack-related, i.e. it occurs even with the original CD/DVD, then contact the publisher or ask around in the official game support forum.
