When you're DJ'ing, you definitely need an extremely large and fast media for all the music; you can't have CD's, DVD's around for that purpose because they are low-capacity, slow and need to be changed all the time. A very large (set of) hard disk(s) is unavoidable. I'm not sure if you can buy a 1000 Gb hard disk today but it doesn't matter because you can buy 3 pieces of 400 Gb ones instead anyway. And, if you have a SCSI-based machine, not even the usual "max. 4 IDE (ATA) devices" limitation applies to you.

@glenbo: You don't need to explain everything about yourself, to defend yourself. No one has the right to know any personal fact about you without your consent. Just leave the provocative questions and assumptions unanswered; if you answer them, your answers will only raise more provocative questions and assumptions. (Been there, done that. Trust me, that's the best solution!) In short, "don't feed the troll"! On the other hand, don't speak about warez either, and you should be safe on this forum!

I had San Andreas. I hated it, and thank god a local pawn shop gave me full price for it. I bought Hearts of Iron 2!

Anyways, I ran the cracks prefectly back in the day (2 weeks ago ). Your DVD must be damaged in some way, because that is the weirdest problem I have ever heard of. Cracks usually don't mess with the original DVD, and if that IS the case, you may just want to uninstall/reinstall San Andreas, and use the original.

If the original is damaged, Rockstar will take it back and send you a new one. Lemme know if you need contact information for them.

Edit: Never try to run SA without the patch. There's SERIOUS flaws in the PC version in 1.0, graphic coding being a major one.

What happened when you tried to reinstall the game entirely and ran it from 1.0 without the patch, did it function?

it will work from the disc, but it takes for ever to kick in,(every other game is instant, and so was this before) however patch or unpatched if i mount the mini image it says the same thing..insert original disc.
if i use the fixed exe and the mini image..it does nothing..if i rip a image to my hard disc from the full game (mds, mdf using the instructions in another thread) again it asks for the original disc.

its just got me baffled,i mean im not a n00b with pc's atall,i dont know how to make cracks, but defintly know how to use them, but this has me stumped,i have spent all day messing with it,and tralling through the registry looking for rouge san andreas files, and found nothing.

i have still to hear a reply from rockstar. grrrr

just my luck this lol! why cant one of my less prized games not work lol! like one i have finished already.

why did this happen to all the rockstar games? and nothing else,i have just noticed teh same thing happend to max payne 2.
