mini-image

Hi folks!

Would be nice if someone could upload a mini-image for the game if possible...
I'm a notebook user and do not have much harddrive capacatiy.
A standard image is too large...
I'm often playing in train etc. and don't like to take my playdiscs with me.

Thanks

As far as i understand the thread, you have to mount the full image of YOUR ORIGINAL dvd in DaemonTools/Alcohol120% !!!

Tages... Demo-Mode-Game!?

Well guys... Decades ago I tried to backup Moto Racer 3 (not sure about the name...). It was also protected with an earlier version of Tages.
To sum it up: Any copy just turns into a demo after driving the first circuit.

Now I alcoholized my Fahrenheit-Disc and installed Tetris-Tool & Drivers & mounted the .tdf-Image to run the game. Works fine.

I didn´t try to start the game from the alcohol-image without the use of Tetris (before I installed tetris, I mean).

A few minutes ago I started a Fahrenheit-Session without running Tetris before (simpy forgot to start it). So only the Alc-Image was mounted in Alcohol - and the game runs fine...

So what´s up here?! "Fading" Version which will soon be a demo again... Or really fine dumped image which cheats the protection!?

What is the typical behaviour of Fahrenheit when it detects a copy?!

C u & thx

tagés is a funny beast, it tries to be 'transparent', ie: you can make an image (even using nero), which appears to be successful, but then once say you hit level 3, it exits, or makes parts of the game disappear (like artifacts you have to retrieve, bullets in the game.. whatever) .. it all depends on how sneaky the developers want to be, and i would very much doubt that alcohol could make a working tagés image, due to the twin sector crap on the original disk, which is why tetris is used (it 'feeds back' the real twin sector data to the game when the game requests it from the cd/dvd... its a filter driver, thats how they work). the tdf file contains the data the game 'expects' to read from a valid cd/dvd... hope that makes some sense to you all

well your tdf image was mounted it wouldnt work without it. it worked because you had mounted the tdf image bevore.
you have to mount the image only once in tetris after you boot up your pc,you can close tetris after that. the image will be mounted then in the driver until your next reboot.i played trough the whole game and there where no triggers using this method so it should be fine!

Why Oo Why

ok things where great in the no cd days now theres this and that and things just never work, is it that the game manu's are making it harder to do this or are we getting lazy, no more no cd is whats happing all this d tools ****e and now tetris.

we need to carry on with no cd's, there not this many problems so easy to do. can some give me a reason why there are no more no cd patches out.

Tages is an difficult protection cost lots of time to crack this one and don't forget that Tages isn't much used only on some games have it ,thats why they choose the emulating apporach and it works flawless anyway .
