If you use the wizard option.
Put in the address you wish to patch. Change the size.. Values upto 255 is Byte Values upto 65535 is Word Values above 65535 is Double Word Then put in your value in the last box, all will be done for you when you click ok. |

Before I forget, reload the game and search again for the value if its the same then do what your doing.
If not, and the address for the value has changed you will have to learn how to code inject. Search this section from posts at the beginning (option at bottom of index page of this section) and look at the ASM tuts I did. |

Is there a engine inside trainer maker 1.51 to search a process for variables like artmoney does? Or should i just rely on artmoneys search.

TMK wont search for values.
Use Artmoney, or go for either Tsearch or Cheat Engine which also comes with a debugger. TSearch can make TMK coding for you also. |

Im gonna regret asking such a stupid question but what does a debugger do...
I figure if im gonna get into trainer making i should learn every aspect, i mean most i know about is changing values on games. If thats all that there is to it why have a debugger and such? |

My advice, go to the index page of this section, and view all threads from the beginning and learn some ASM before anything else
![]() Just follow the tuts I had.. Any questions just ask. |

You could try a program called Cheat Engine:
http://www.cheatengine.org/ I found that when I was just starting off, this kind of covers all of the basics. Plus is comes with it's own tutorial. But you really should check out some ASM before you start. But if you belive in learning by doing, then just download it and start useing it like an idiot. Thats what I did and I learned alot!!!!!! But seriously, try the tutorial. If you are wondering about debuggers, Cheat Engine is the only USER FREIDLY program that I could find that has a kernal debugger. Sure the debugger in Tsearch is ok, but a kernal debugger is even better. (It makes it possible to train games like Rome Total War which don't like debuggers!) dragonx
