help! backup for jap ps2 with 8-wire mod chip

ok, this time i did open the SYSTEM in the backup i created, here's what it saids in it:
BOOT2 = cdrom0:\SLUS_200.34;1
VER = 1.00
VMODE = NTSC

and there's another SLUS_200.34 file i have in the CD too.

but on my frined's back up it has
BOOT2 = cdrom0:\PBPX_952.01;1
VER = 1.10
VMODE = NTSC

is Ver=1.10 and Ver=1.00 make a big difference?
