I thought Older AMD 64-bit chips were unable to run them, like the older intel's.
Anyways, AMD has chipset drivers that you probably need to upgrade on. Search their site for them (my laptop needed this). If you are trying to install 32-bit drivers at all, they won't work (most of the time).

Windows XP x64 has a WOW32 emulator.
Its complete pants :P But the OS loves recent games, I noted a huge improvement especially with memory hungry games like C&C Generals/ZH FarCry Doom3 All ran smoothly and better than the XP pro
