Problems with punkbuster on battlefield 2

Just wondering if anyone is having problems with Punkbuster in Battlefield 2. I am NOT running the 1.01 patch, and i am getting a WARNING that my punkbuster files are not up to date, this happens mostly on every server i go on. I thought Punkbuster is supposed to update it automatically but who knows whats happing it could be because that i dont have the v. 1.01 patch installed, i even tried updating the files manually but that still didnt help. If anyone is having the same problems i am, please respond if you have any information!!

Hate to remind you all but if you keep up with the EA games news you will see that there is an issue with punkbuster in both the demo and retail versions. Some ppl have even had their key blocked because of a signature missread on the serverside.

As far as I know EA and Evenbalance are working on the problem.

As with all new games which this is and is not battlefield 1942 part 2 there will be teething problems even after public release.

Please don't suggest that a person complaining about a protection issue like punkbuster is a cheat or game hacker unless they obviously suggest that they are. Nobody likes being labeled!!!!!

Some server have updated files so you get the message.
You can also get the message if the connection is bad.

Anyway, you have to get a file called phweb.exe and put it in your ph folder and run it.
This will update your punkbuster files.
