Correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds like your are trying to extract the contents of the nocd archive that you have downloaded to wherever you store your icon (desktop?). DON'T DO THIS!!
What you want to do is to right-click on the icon, and press find target in the window that comes up. This will take you to where the exe file for your game is stored. Overwrite this with the file from the crack, and it should work. -Leezer-
