GTA San Andreas Crashes every 15-20 min!!!!

Not to mention frustrating time mission design, this game crashes every fricking 20 min! it starts to lag seriously as if a memory leak and then crashes with no errors. Anyone got any ideas?

I haven't played the P.C. version of the game yet but I see there is a crash patch available at GCW, maybe that would help.
