The UP did report "successfully patched" and all the setting were as you said for the CDRWin, except the read retry count. i'll set it to 10 and try again.
also, i did try my friend's backup before, and it worked. however, i used a different swap method, i don't know if that means i have a different chip or something: i have a console on, and put the UDisc on the cd tray, then i double pressed the reset botton really fast, it'll take the UDisc in and when the memory card and UDisc screen comes out, i choose UDisc, it'll pop out, then i just put in the backups, it'll work... but all the backups i have made didn't do anything after i swap it. i don't know if you can understand me or not
