I must be missing somthing simple but what can you remove from jade empire so you can burn it to dvd Hav removed italian spanish but still to big please help !!!!

The only way I have even heard of it being made small enough to fit onto a dvd-r was from a firend of mine who completely downsized every movie in it. You can tell too as in a lot of the cinemas are blocky as hell.

I deleted all the movies and of course the game works but.....what's the point really. I have not heard of anyone getting this done except for the downsizing thing also and again.......the clips are horrible

i own the german version - which has no other languages - and needed to downsample every movie to fit in on 4,37 - but it is s*it if you say it "looks horrible" and is "not watchable" etc... i had to go down to 40% vid quality, a bit blocky in fast scenes, but looks not as bad as you say. the only problem: it takes sooooooooooo f*king long to downsample the vids... took me three days.

I think there are some demos and unused movies you can remove from the disc.
Downsampling will also be needed in order to do it.

on other versions than the german one there are a demo and multilanguage files - but you can't fit the movie on dvd5 without removing or downsampling video files. also removing "unused" videos - videos that are not that important for the story like all the vids when your plane starts flying - does not save enough space to fit the game on dvd5. better downsample all **** and miss nothing.

as in your tut on xbox-scene you posted: removing the attract and credits is NOT enough to get the game on dvd5! do as the one guy in a reply also said: downsample to 40%, it fits.

make sure to use the following settings with RADtools ( www.radgametools.com )

overall data rate settings: compress to a % of original *use percentage 40 here*
keep peak data rate under a 3.0

compress audio (highlighted): compress level 104
sound format 16bit stereo (important, otherwise you get no audio)

i noticed that the method one guy stated by using scaling of 2x with and height doubled goes a little lot faster than "no scaling" - about two times faster - won't understand that, but also looks more blocky, tried it with the first some mins of the credit movie of jade empire - font is really washed out with 2x size... but who cares how it looks, quality will **** up a little anyway, makes it go faster, why not. if i had known i'd have also used that method
