Sounds encouraging on the face of it. However I wonder how they can promote development of copy protection systems on the one hand whilst also saying consumers have the right to make back ups. To me the two ideas seem mutually exclusive. Still, here's hoping.

Has anyone heard any updates on this act as where it stands? Is it still "in the system", or has it been declined?
