A [dubious] solution to play backup of SCCT without USB2 drive

He installed SCCT with the original cd, then patched it with 1.2 patch.
He deactivated the ide drives (with SFNightmare), mounted the mini-image from GCW, and tried to start the game using his regular key. He then got a standard Starforce error message.

To resolve the situation, he sent an email to starforce support, describing his entire system and the error message. Actually, I think he is trying to say that we all should do the same. As a result the starforce people sent him a message; advising him to hold down shift key, run the game, and enter some special key. Surprisingly enough; this worked. The game started etc etc, and worked 100%, even though he re-activated the ide drives!

Of course he was rather proud and wanted to share this information with us. Thereby revealing his love for pasting long strings of useless info...

In other words, he claims that the starforce cd check can be bypassed with special keys in stead of the regular cd keys. The bad side is that you have to
ask SF for it...

and what would u say us with this? That this serial listet up in the thread ins included in all scct versions?

Now I can play cause on my DVD was a completly other Key (German Retail)
so i was very astonished to find this Info in the Ubi.com Forum.

MY questions was a li bit ironic, cause it all helps me not really to play scct without dvd ..

Iam not sure about Kaspas Way, cause i only got the message "put it into another dvd drive" and not this serial error message...

I already have the original key i meant the one that lets you play without the cd. are they all different or is it one special one?

EDIT- also are all the special keys the same or are they different for each person?
