Gran Turismo 4 does NOT boot with swap magic discs. Swap magic disc don't support the booting of Duel Layer (Dvd 9) discs so either
a) You've got a copy thats had stuff ripped out or b) You ain't booting GT4

Turns out its actually F1 2004! (sorry, saw the cars on the cover, thought it was GT4)

Game is Fine
Well in a manner your swap magic is doing it's job. You are playing an import. The problem rests with your TV which is Ntsc. The game is being sent to your TV in pal format. There are patches aviable for converting game display formats, or you could go back to germany and buy a TV

No need to, If you've got 3.3 then on the START GAME screen, move down to TV type which is set to auto, then force NTSC mode
