KOTOR II Crack Problem - help!

I still can hear the music ... but nothing else happens ... its really weird ... so i uninstalled the game and re installed it ... (hadnt done the back up of the .exe) and tried to play it with the cd .. and it worked fine again .... so i thought maybe i did something wrong therefore i replaced the .exe again with the patch ... and you can guess .... it didnt work again ... exactly the same problem ... anyone with a idea what could be causing this problem ? I am playing on a Toshiba laptop Centrino 1.6, 512 ram and Ati radeon 7000 (or was it 700 ? something around the .. quite new anyway)

Go to the Update button in the Autorunner and Update the game. However you need the original EXE and there is no crack for the new version yet ;(
