Question CD-RWs

Will the PSX read CD-RWs or only CD-Rs?

Ive never used cdrw on my psx. Im not thinkin it would work but heck your not really gonna loose anything if you try and it doesnt. So I say go ahead and try. Be sure to post your results here though.

They do but not very well, Infiniti or Datawrite CD-rw's seemed to be the best.

Nope. My PSX doesn't even see the CD-RW.

I'm sure the condition of the laser has something to do with it as well.

Sidney
Seeing as there has never been a pressed PSX game, ever, on a cd-rw there is no requirement for the Playstation to even recognise cd-rw.
This is exactly the same as some early burners, in fact my Teac SCSI, which has backed up all my PSX titles, does not recognise a cd-rw as a disc of any description.
