rasnarfire, the file contained the CD-KEY for the game, providing CD-KEYS, SERIALS or LINKS to them is not allowed on THIS forum!

BTW, your typed English seems fine to me, so you at least have a pretty good understanding of English to make me understand what you typed, I bet my German is nowhere near as good as your English!

Please TRY to read the rules and ask questions if you don't understand any part of them. Maybe the rules need to be translated to other languages just to make it clearer for foreign visitors?

Is my english really so good? Ok, i explain it again: There is a difference between the CD-key for online playing and the SF3 key. Some games have a Starforcekey and a CD-key (f.e. GTR) and there is no hint in the rules that prohibit to post the SF-Key, because thatīs only to start with the mini-image. Btw: Is it allowed to post the site, which offers the mini-images with SF-key? This is not directly linking.

Good idea to make the Rules multilingual.

rasnarfire, I still don't think giving links to SF-KEYS is allowed either. If you own the game then there is NO NEED to give out any key/serial as you will already have a key/serial that comes with the game. If a mini-image is released for a game, then using the key/serial that came with your game should be used to get the game working if it needs one.

The only reason a CD-KEY/SERIAL/SF-KEY would be posted is if someone does not own an ORIGINAL CD/DVD and needs them to get their copy working!

If you are still unsure about posting SF-KEYS, go here:

http://fileforums.com/showgroups.php?

then use the PM facility to contact one of the MODS for the PC GAMES forum and ask them for clarification on the rules!

Here is a mod and his opinion:

Making the board rules multilingual would break board rule #5 !!!
(FileForums are English-Only.) ...my opinion...

Posting links to SF-Keys aren't allowed. In my opinion there's also no need to hold all the mini-images on GCW, because each one who has the original cd, can make his own mini-image, using the tutorial from the "Guides & Tutorial" sticky post. ...my opinion...

(Don't know what the other mods opinion is.)

On breaking rule #5, if people could read the board rules in their own language (whilst making the point that all posts are made in English), maybe we wouldn't get so many people breaking the rules because their English isn't that good that they don't read them!

But, how many languages to cater for, would anyone actually bother reading these rules, would it make a difference etc, etc!

Perhaps you just like smacking down/banning people

Hi guys,

I've also run into some problems with the mini image...

It is important to know that the mini image needs to be mounted to the first emulated CD/DVD drive, the one with the lowest drive letter. This means, if you have both Alcohol 120% and Daemon Tools installed - like I do - then you must mount the mini image with (the first unit of) the emulator configured for the lower drive letter(s).

Also, Starfick 0.83 did NOT work with this game; Starforce Nightmare was needed - because of its more advanced blacklist patcher, I guess.

By the way, a command line interface for Starforce Nightmare would be welcome, as that would make it possible to run the game from a batch file, without any user interaction...

Joe
