the game ask me for a cd-key....and I don't know what kind of key it need!
It wants the CD Key which came with your original purchased game disc!
Hint: Its usually found on the CD Cover somewhere or On or in the Game Manual somewhere!

I don't think this game needs a CD KEY, Morglum posted about how Starforce calculates an internal key from sectors on the disc, so put the wrong disc in and the key will be incorrect and pop a request for the key, even though it doesn't require one!

Some games DO need a CD key like TOCA 2, but some games ask because the CD is just the wrong one!

Hmmm, well as I dont actually have the game myself, I was just taking a calculated guess! I wasnt even aware it was a Starforce game! So you could say my guess was somewhat 'Miscalculated'

i bought a copy of scapland (german). but after realizing, that its a starforce-game i sold the game. i hate starforce and therefore i do not want to support it by buying games protected with it.

...that tought me a lesson: to look for the copy protection BEFORE i buy the game...

You would be better reading 'BarryB's posts above for a better answer about the CD keys. In this case its not the Key you would normally get with your original CD case or the game manual but the CD Key checking feature which comes with Starforce Protected Games.
I myself should have read Barry's posts above before telling you it was on the game Manual etc!

Hi ivanisevic82,

If you're having _any_ problem with your original CD/DVD, take it back to the shop you bought it at as soon as possible!

And, no, we're not all Americans; see the "Location" info of users; some of us _do_ enter the real location there. Bye,

Joe
