Now I wonder if it work if i was to swap the khs-400c laser into the hd7 system after I replace the la6508? 'Cause if it works, I may have stumble on something interesting here...

Has the LA6508 blown in the first place?There is no point in replacing a chip which hasn't blown...

I think so, the la6508 in the ps2 with the hd7 is burned out otherwise that system would have boot with the hd7 in it. I also tried to swap the "burned out" ps2 with the 400c laser and it acted weird when i tried to boot up. The laser clicked like nuts...
