If it's still working...
You seem to be one of the luckiest... I managed to kill my V9 laser in about an hour.
 What you need to do, if the system is still working (although slow), is not to touch it, go and have a romeo mod (assuming that it wasn't performed) and replace the laser unit (it's not cheap). But If you have a Romeo modded unit, just read some of the guides on how to test the condition of your laser and if it's not that bad just play abit with pot resistances.
