Here's what to do with the PAL version:

It's pretty simple. No Hex schmex editing needed.

Step 1: Rename "default.xbe" to something else that is not used, eg, "default.xb".

Step 2: Rename "DOA2.xbe" to "default.xbe".

You will now find that the game loads perfectly off the hard drive. No patching necessary. The file that was originally titled "DOA2.xbe" is what the game uses to load from. The original "default.xbe" I believe is just a pointer to the file.

Also, you may notice that both disks of the PAL version contain the same data. But I believe disk 1 has the "default.xbe" pointer file loading up "DOA1.xbe", that's all. You may want to try renaming "DOA1.xbe" to "default.xbe" if you want to play DOA 1 instead. I have not tried this myself tho.

Hope this helps.
