yah, watch out for that "Live secure" crap. It is just a fancy way of saying that there is a switch on the chip to turn it off, before you power on the xbox and go online.
However, if you use x-ecuter bios, you shouldn't have much of a problem. It prevents games from going online if "xbox live" is clicked on accident.

i was told that solderless chips where a peice of crap cause like if you move your xbox the chip moves of the solder points and sits on the mother board and eventually screws it up

Well a friend of mine has a solder-less chip and it has been working like a charm ever since he installed it.
He have also moved around the xbox a few times and no problems at all. If you just tighten it up enough there should be no problems. But if you feel like "I'm gonna be 100% sure it doesn't falls off" well solder it then. But I haven't seen any solder-less fall off or similar. |
