I'm still having the issues of stuttering on multiple stand alone dvd players and a computer with a dvd player. It is happening in the same spot in the movie on each player. Could this have anything to do with the way the image was captured with CloneDVD or the quality of the original DVD?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I should also mention I have always burned to an ISO. Is it better to burn straight from one dvd drive to the burner or doesn't that matter?

The ISO issue shouldnt matter. I am starting to think that you may have a bad original. Is it scratched anywhere on the disc? Look closely. Or do all your movies have the same problems around the same time in the movie?

I don't see any bad scratches in the disc. I don't think it skips and stutters in the same spot in each movie. Right now I'm trying to concentrate on the same ISO to eliminate issues. Currently I'm writing to the Ridata media using the 2-2.4x to write. I will let you know the results of this attempt. If you have any ideas along the way, be sure to let me know.

Thanks

Just to let you know, I tried writing at 2-2.4x and it skipped and stuttered in the exact same place. Can you tell me how non scratched the originals need to be to get a good copy? I'm now going to try a pristine dvd and I will tell you the results.

If you have a scratch or the label on the top of the disc is scratched or damaged you could get read errors. They may copy fine onto your hdd but in reality they are bad data on a disc, therefor displaying bad info to your dvd player. Do the discs skip on while playing from your burner as well?

Is there any program that I could run ahead of time to see if I may get read errors or is there a detailed log to tell me that there may have been a read error while making the ISO?
