I've had my PAL PStwo since late October last year and I've since installed a Matrix Infinity with the Neofix Xii and it's still going strong.
If you are worried about your laser dying after voiding your warranty, you could run it for a few days solid with a scratched up DVD-R movie disc on repeat. Or play through San Andreas, that game gives the laser a real work out. Also try a few CD based games as well. If it's still ok after all that, you should be right, but as always, there are no guarantees. |

the summone fix looks very reliable to me and a cheap alternative but it looks kinda dodgy if you dont have electrical tape as it could short out on the metal casing or pcb.
