Is there any hope of this nocd? The mini image is great and all, but there are cheats that require the cracked .exe because its decrypted.....

Its been more than two weeks since the patch

Something extremely funny is going on with my computer... I installaed Alcohol 120% (to make an effort with that bleeding mini image or - if the damaged CD didn't cooperate - to d/load a ready image and mount that) and every time I try to start it (Alcohol), my #@!@$%#@#%$# computer is rebooting!!!!

Tried to close every running program save those absolutely necessary for the system - no good. It still reboots. Have you ever seen that?

do you have other virtual cdrom software running? If so make sure its disabled, I had a similar problem and this was the fix.

Nope, never installed VD software on that machine... I closed all running programs anyway (kept only the very vital XP functions, to make sure it ain't SW issue)... yet something else funny is happening. I assembled this machine myself only two months ago (and while I was - and still am - rather short on spare time) and I had two drives, a CD-RW and DVD, from my previous machine I used to build the current.

Well, I never managed to make the DVD work! Every time I connect it, it reboots the system incosistently! I tried half a dozen times, changed jumpers, settings, BIOS - to no good. Then I just gave up and kept the DVD disconnected with the system. Now I am operating only with the CD-RW and looking forward for a free weekend to start fiddling around with it again.

Does this have to do anything with it, perhaps?

Still not out yet? That's funny... the 1.1 no-cd came out days after the patch... this one takes ages... darn, I think I should've returned the CD to the retailer after all... would take the same amount of time and I've had a correctly working CD after all.

I wonder what's taking so long. It's an unusual wait for a no-cd patch.I've been waiting for weeks for this and I really hope that it comes out soon.
