I had the same problem because of the newest Nvidia video drivers. Had to reinstall the previous version. Some gamers using ATI cards had to use the newest drivers.

I also used the NO-CD crack (Version 1.0) for DOOM 3 from GCW and it defenetly works!!!
So the problem seems to be your PC system. Try to set options lower and look if it works then! Or try with ORIGINAL-CD! MfG MontyBurns1985
