You're set on those discs - so I ain't gonna try and stop you any more. You'll have to learn for yourself how bad these discs are. Others will back me up here I'm sure. The Magic 3.x series of mod is REALLY probably the worst mod available for the PS2 (aside the Neo 2.2).

Any other mod probably wont have this problem. Even if they do, I'm sure the flash upgradeable ones (O2, DMS, Matrix Infinity / MXL4, Crystal etc) will have a fix issued. Besides, I tested my mates SOCOM II on my Messiah 2 system online and it's perfectly fine.

Well i just havent heard any actual evidence of anything wrong with the SM except the hassle.

ive tryed it on a dms3 as well same problem and screw buying a new chip to play online games its like every 5 months a new chip is needed i dont play socom any how heh so no biggy for me but if all the games get that away thats going to suck

See thats the problem i used the search feature and found all i could on swap magic but i didnt really find any actual cases of problems. Just trash talk with no evidence backing it up and people saying the hassle was crappy and talking about PS2ownz supports it and its the devil. But no logical answer. Yet to have that answer.

Hows about they don't work with all games? If you used that search, you'd know that. Look, I ain't gonna start getting into why you shouldn't get them. If you're gonna mod, save for it and keep the money. If you don't want to mod, at least consider a HDD and HDLoader. But as I said, you're set on getting those Sh*teMagic 3.3 discs, so go ahead - there's no point in telling you any more... I know my mod is fine and always has been - even to this day I can get online with SOCOM with my mod enabled, and if you're chip is flashable, a fix will soon be released so hang in there - don't give in yet. - and my chip isn't exactly a 'spring chicken' (Messiah 2 1.33b)
