I used a spare PCI IDE-Controller I had lying around that supports 4 IDE drives, this way I can add extra HD's and still keep my Secondary IDE for optical drives.

ATM, I have 2 HD's on Primary, 2 optical drives on Secondary and 1 HD on PCI Controller, both StarF*ck and SFN work for me! I also have a VIA KT333 chipset MoBo, not Nforce, so that helps too!

As for the German version not working with the English mini image, that's probably due to SF's CD Key being tied to the German game and CD, so you can't use another language CD as that will have a different CD key I think.

That's what i think too... but since the program asks me to provide another key... anybody has the cd-key of the english-version the miniimage uses?

That's the point, it doesn't NEED a CD-Key as it's put on the disc during manufacture! The German game is checking the CD key on the disc and finding it's not the correct one as it's reading the CD key for the English game!

Nobody is going to give out CD keys anyway and is a breach of rules asking for one as well!

I finally got it to work for me. I had the same problem with starf****r no running it. I tried both mini image files listed at GCW. The 73kb one said to insert disk 1 and the 63kb one said invalid key. I finally gave up on starf****r and used Starforce Nightmare. I have both optical drives on ide channel 2 and disabled it through Nightmare and used the 63kb mini image (the first one listed). Surprise! It works! Thanks for the help.

Itried @ll suggestions i found in this Thread (others too), but cant get it to work (scrapland).
I own the German-Version and is running (with original CD) on an AMD 64, i cant open it to unplug (New one with a Warranty-Lock? (if i can , i wouldnt do that-unplugging thing).
I tried all Tools , both Mini-images, dont works....
In Bios i cant disable it (there stands something about Native...)
But its crazy , from the beginning i had some Problems on my System, my Mouse is going "crazy" only in one Folder (own Data) i cant Mark one File , if i trie to Mark one File its like the Pointer of the Mouse is a Quad 250 x 250 Pixel , not only one Pixel size....
The Pointer-Problem was there, before i used any tools or minis, and only happens if i launch scrapland before i try to mark the File????
I find it so ***** , that the Starfishers can install Drivers (Software) that corrupts my System.
Is it not possible (SF updates with every Game new Drivers), to take a old SF version (that is working with mini-image) , and modify it to a higher Version , so that the actual installed Game thinks it is an old Version and dont installs new Drivers....(only thinking)...

I make what you write and all seems ok, untill the protection of the game ask me for a cd-key....and I don't know what kind of key it need!
