scrapland

i read all the posts in this thread so far and i read some others referingt to starbuck and stuff.
i crashed my computer a few times with startruck, till i found out/remembered, that my optical drive is secondary master. (i have another HDD on secondary slave. thats why my compute crashed, i think.)

now i tried sfn and disabled just the optical one.
the miniimage is in my one and only daemon-drive.
i tried to start the game, but the security thingy wingy just keeps crashing . . . i think.
i dont know.
the task gets a freeze and then i just killed it.

is there no other way to get this one running, or do i have to wait for a "real" crack to get this thing to work w/o the cd? but starforce IS crackable, right? =)

i would be happy for any suggestions or ideas how to get it running.
if anyone needs any infos bout my system, just ask . . . =)

The ideal setup would be to have your Hard Drives on the Primary IDE Channel and your Optical Drives on the Secondary IDE channel, that way you can determine if this setup is better for running SF games or your system config is just not compatible with StarF*ck or SFN!

Has anybody managed to get the german version of Scrapland working with the miniimage?
I have tried everything mentioned in this thread and SFNightmare seems to work, but the copy-protection-software is asking for another key???
Could it be they used different keys for the english and german version?

my problem is, that i have 3 HDDs and 1 optical.
that way i HAVE TO mix the optical with the HDD on one cable. (360gb and still not enough space . . .) =)

more ideas? =)

I used a spare PCI IDE-Controller I had lying around that supports 4 IDE drives, this way I can add extra HD's and still keep my Secondary IDE for optical drives.

ATM, I have 2 HD's on Primary, 2 optical drives on Secondary and 1 HD on PCI Controller, both StarF*ck and SFN work for me! I also have a VIA KT333 chipset MoBo, not Nforce, so that helps too!

As for the German version not working with the English mini image, that's probably due to SF's CD Key being tied to the German game and CD, so you can't use another language CD as that will have a different CD key I think.

That's what i think too... but since the program asks me to provide another key... anybody has the cd-key of the english-version the miniimage uses?

That's the point, it doesn't NEED a CD-Key as it's put on the disc during manufacture! The German game is checking the CD key on the disc and finding it's not the correct one as it's reading the CD key for the English game!

Nobody is going to give out CD keys anyway and is a breach of rules asking for one as well!
