Eagle, there is a problem with your patch
 In a DOS box I get this error: The file is not at the good size (1474560 octets). ;( The files size is correct @ 1,474,560 bytes but your patch doesn't like it  I can't find eropatch, all links are too old and the first one doesn't download anything  Thnx for the credit though

Barry what is your filesize of the uncracked painkiller.exe? and do you have BOOH installed?

Both the BOOH and v1.61 EXE are 1,474,560 bytes *BUT* they are not the same file contents! Your patch doesn't seem to work with either file?
Maybe it's because it's a DOS program and not a Win32 console app? The 1.61 patch updates both games to v1.61 so a new EXE is installed no matter if you have BOOH installed or not.
