MI vs CC
Hi,
The champion of mod chip pretty much boils down to Matrix Infinity or Crystal based on what I hear on the forum. What could be the deciding factors between the two. I guess what I'm asking is what the differences between the two are. On their web site, it says Crystal won't let you play backups, but I'm guessing it's not the case since nobody would name it the best chip if you can't even play backups. |

However CC uses the MC (8MB) to store it's data rather than it's 4K on board flash.

i shall be getting my Crystal chip tomoz.
Differences are just disabling and the fact that the crystal chip has a boot manager. Disable the MI = Hold start. Disable the CC = press reset 6 times.

Can you flash the Crystal chip with Toxic or something similar??? I'll be gettin my first Crystal chip in the mail this week. Cant wait
Just need to know I can flash it with "something"...Customer is waiting!Never installed an MI... Always stuck with the DMS chips till I realised that Crystal and MI dont suffer from the dreaded ground bounce probs!

Yes, you load the 'Boot Manager' onto the crystal. (it comes with the firmware) - you just have to choose to install it from the disc if you want it...
![]() P.S. To make the chip play backups, you'll need to find the hacked BIOS (easily obtained from Google)
